GSSC Summer Camp Programs Return Summer 2022

Commack, NY - The Girl Scouts of Suffolk County (GSSC) Summer Camp programs at Camp Edey are back, and the organization is excited to welcome girls to the campgrounds this summer! This year’s Summer Camp programs will run from June 27 through August 26.

"We are ecstatic to welcome our girls back to the campgrounds this summer," said Tammy Severino, GSSC’s President & CEO. "Summer Camp is a part of Girl Scouting that gives the girls the opportunity to explore and grow in a new setting. We encourage our girls to make the most of these summer programs by pushing themselves and exploring everything the programs have to offer."

Girl Scout Summer Camp helps expand girls' interests, confidence, and knowledge in the outdoors in a fun and safe space. Girls learn new skills with the backing of a global sisterhood that helps them expand their horizons while they connect with the world around them.

Every Girl Scout can find a Summer Camp program that is right for them at GSSC Summer Camp! Programs offered this year include Pixie Day Camp (girls ages 4 and 5), Journey to Adventure Day Camp (grades 1-6), Teen Ventures (grades 7-10), and Sleepaway Camp (grades 5-10). These programs include everything from swimming, scavenger hunts, outdoor sports, crafts, gaga ball, and much more.

Camp Edey is located in Bayport on 95 acres on the Sans Souci Lakes. It is home to the Juliette Low Friendship Center, two pools, an archery range, and more.

Open House will take place on Saturday, March 19, and tours will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. For an idea of a "day-in-the-life" of Summer Camp, Camp Edey is hosting a Summer Camp Sampler on April 9 between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. This Summer Camp Sampler will give girls a sneak peek into the activities and programs taking place this summer.
