Kilo Of Cocaine, Fentanyl; Over $300K Found In Suffolk Man's Home: DA

He planned to sell it out of his home, Suffolk prosecutors said.

RIVERSIDE, NY - A Medford man is facing charges in connection with selling cocaine and fentanyl from his home, Suffolk District Attorney Ray Tierney's office said.

Nathaniel Howell, 40, faces charges of first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and other charges for allegedly possessing cocaine and fentanyl with the intent to sell.

Tierney said investigators found "a significant amount of lethal narcotics" that Howell planned to sell from his home.

“My office will continue to stop any deadly venture that profits off of overdoses, fuels addiction, and breaks families," he added.

An investigation led by the DA's office's Fentanyl Task Force found Howell was selling cocaine and fentanyl from his home on Wilson Avenue, prosecutors said.

On Nov. 2, a search of Howell’s home found a kilogram of cocaine, "a large quantity of fentanyl," and more than $305,000.

Howell faces charges of first-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, second-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, all felonies, as well as second-degree criminal using drug paraphernalia in the Second Degree, a misdemeanor.

Howell's bail was set at $1 million cash, $2 million bond, or $8 million dollars partially secured bond.

He is due back in court on Jan. 4, and faces 15 to 30 years in prison if convicted of the top count.
