On, April 22, Supervisor Ed Romaine and Councilman Michael Loguercio attended the Medford Fire Department’s Annual Installation Dinner at The Inn at Eastwind in Wading River. During the event, the Supervisor and Councilman honored company members for their service to the Medford community and presented Certificates of Congratulations for Years of Service Milestones, Lifetime Achievement, Firefighter of the Year and more.

Established in 1922, The Medford Fire Department has served the community of Medford and its surrounding area for more than a century. The Medford FD strives to recruit, train, educate, and retain members of high moral value and character. The Residents of Medford have even taken notice of the high standards by voting the Medford Fire Department as the "Best Firehouse on Long Island" through the Bethpage FCU "Best of L.I" annual contest for three years straight in 2017, 2018, and 2019 and again in 2023.
