Richard J. O'Brien Found. Presents 25k to New Interdisciplinary School

The New Interdisciplinary School, a nonprofit preschool serving students with and without disabilities up to age five, is pleased to have received a generous donation of $25,000 from the Richard J. O’Brien Foundation. This funding will be used to continue the extracurricular programming provided to their preschoolers.

“NIS is so grateful for the opportunity to provide extracurricular programming such as swimming and enrichment to our students. Our swimming program aims to improve water safety, social-emotional growth, and overall comfort in an aquatic setting. It provides our students with gross and fine motor experiences and sensory awareness, and the families of the students who’ve been selected to participate have found it to be greatly beneficial. Our enrichment programs provide students and their caregivers opportunities to partake in sports, nature and other educational classes that provide skillsets geared toward preschoolers with differing abilities. Students with and without disabilities have the opportunity to learn with and from each other after school hours, and the families love participating, as well,” said Susan Cali, NIS Director of Development.

NIS proudly stands as an affiliate of the Kinexion Network, a management service organization (MSO) overseeing a collective of seven well-respected organizations committed to providing superior lifetime care and support for individuals living with disabilities and their families. This affiliation further strengthens NIS's dedication to inclusivity and the continuum of lifetime care for those in need so they can live their best life for life.
