Stop & Shop Donates Snacks and Beverages to Hospital Workers

Stop & Shop Donates Five Pallets of Snacks and Beverages to Thank Frontline Hospital Workers at Long Island Community Hospital

Stop & Shop donated five pallets of snacks and beverages to front line medical workers at Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue.

Frontline hospital workers were joined by Long Island Community Hospital President & CEO Richard T. Margulis when Stop & Shop associates made the delivery that will stock the hospital’s ‘Courageous Heart Snack Cart’ - thanking the dedicated hospital workers for their heroic service to their patients and Long Island residents during the past 11 months of the pandemic.

This donation is part of an ongoing commitment by Stop & Shop to support the efforts of Long Island Community Hospital. Stop & Shop is also donating $1,000 in gift cards to the hospital’s Community Access, Reach, Education and Services (CARES) program to support low-income and/or homeless patients who come into the hospital for treatment or who are patients of the Breast Cancer Survivorship Coalition (BCSC). A Stop & Shop gift card enables patients to utilize the knowledge that the hospital shares about nutrition and healthy eating to purchase healthier and/or organic options, which are typically more expensive.
