Suffolk Credit Union Honors Nurses, Police, EMS & Military

'Suffolk Salutes' celebration in May to recognize the essential service providers who have such a positive impact on our communities.

Suffolk Credit Union announced its ‘Suffolk Salutes’ celebration in May to recognize the essential service providers who have such a positive impact on our communities. The credit union will honor nurses, police, EMS responders, veterans and active military throughout the month along with national recognition weeks.

“Suffolk Credit Union is privileged to serve many credit union members who have served in the military as well as healthcare workers and first responders,” said Michele Dean, CEO and President of Suffolk Credit Union. “We are excited to join in the nationwide events this month to let our hometown heroes know how much they are appreciated.”

Each week, Suffolk Credit Union teams will be visiting relevant locations to show their support and appreciation for the celebrated groups including all Suffolk County Police Department Precincts, EMS and St. Catherine's and St. Charles Hospitals.

In addition, throughout May, Suffolk Credit Union will be collecting donations for Paws of War, a local nonprofit that supports veterans and active military by uniting them with shelter animals in need of homes.

Michele Dean concluded, “These brave, dedicated people contribute profoundly to our sense of safety and quality of life. We support and salute these heroes, not just in May but all year long.”
