  1. An 83-year-old man was killed in a crash in Coram on County Road 83 south of Mooney Pond Road. Preston Pavlo was heading south and hit the back of an empty tow truck. (News 12)

A Port Jefferson judge ruled that a village ice-cream shop owner’s free-speech rights were violated two years ago when village officials issued him citations hanging signs supporting Donald Trump and against Gov.   • Suffolk County Executive Steve Bellone announced that Suffolk County received 4,080 monkeypox vaccinations from New York State and will be partnering with Northwell Health, Stony Brook Medicine and Sun River Health to host pop-up clinics for those eligible. (Patch)
