  1. A petition to shut down Sloth Encounters in Hauppauge was given to the Islip town supervisor on Tuesday after animal advocates said the owner exploited exotic animals. Larry Wallach is also being charged with multiple fire marshal violations. (News 12)
  2. Police are asking the public for information about three people wanted for stealing catalytic converters from multiple parked vehicles last Thursday in Centereach. The thefts happened at around 5:20 a.m. and police say the suspects may have fled in a gray Audi and a black Audi. (Subscription: Newsday)
  3. A man was found dead on the shore of Sag Harbor Cove on Monday. He is described as between 40 to 50 years old, with a long beard, wearing a black shirt and black swim shoes. Anyone with information on the man's identity should contact Southampton Town Police. (News 12)
