1. A woman was charged with attempted murder after she stabbed a man in the neck with a knife in Calverton in July. Daniel Saavedra, age 48, of Queens, told police his girlfriend Claudia Patricia Garcia Vargas, age 53, of Queens, stabbed him while they were driving in a car. (Daily Voice)
2. A man from Wheatley Heights allegedly threatened mass harm at Jake's 58 Casino Hotel in Islandia on Saturday. Joshua Hurt, 28, wrote a comment on a travel website threatening to bring a gun and hurt the staff. (Daily Voice)
3. Two men were arrested on Saturday for stealing a car while it was charging in the Smith Haven Mall parking lot. Justin Frare, 32, and Christopher Danielo, 32, demanded money, sprayed the victim in the face with an irritant and forced him out of his Chevrolet Bolt. (News 12)
