This Man Was Mysteriously Stabbed In An NYC Public Pool In 1988: Cops

Decades later, the name of a man found slain in the Hamilton Fish Pool, and that of his killer, remain unknown.

NEW YORK CITY — Police are trying once again to identify the man found mysteriously stabbed to death in a New York City pool more than 35 years ago.

The NYPD released Wednesday a sketch of the man, never identified, who was fatally stabbed in the torso at the Hamilton Fish Pool on Pitt and East Houston streets in the early hours of Aug. 14, 1988.

Medics found the man about 4:10 a.m. and rushed him to Bellevue Hospital where he died, said police.

Decades later, his name and, and that of his killer, remain unknown.

The mysterious man was in his 20s and had black hair, according to police.
