NEW YORK, NY — St. Patrick's Cathedral was site of funeral services Friday for New York Police Department Officer Jason Rivera, who was shot and killed along with his partner last week.

Rivera and his partner, Officer Wilbert Mora, were ambushed by a gunman as the two officers responded to a family dispute on Jan. 21.

Roman Catholic Cardinal Timothy Dolan presided over Rivera's funeral Mass, and thousands of officers lined the cathedral's pews to honor of Rivera and his service.
