Woman, 19, Sexually Assaulted In UES, Suspect At Large: NYPD

NEW YORK CITY — Police continue to search for a man who attempted to rape a 19-year-old woman in Manhattan over the weekend.

The incident happened on Saturday at around 1:15 a.m. in the vicinity of East 90 Street and East End Avenue, police said.

A 19-year-old woman was walking when she was approached by an unknown man who pushed the victim to the ground and attempted to rape her, police said.

The attempted rape was stopped by a doorman who worked at a nearby building, according to multiple media reports.

The unidentified man fled on foot, westbound on East 90 Street, police said.

The victim was transported by EMS to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition.

The suspect is described as standing 5' feet 9" inches tall and was last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt, blue jeans, and multicolored shoes.
