Bellerose and Herricks among 50 Long Island towns that made Niche.com’s list of the 2017 best places to raise a family in New York.

Bellerose came in at No. 34 while Herricks was ranked at No. 52. (see the full rankings below)

Kensington took the top spot in the state rankings, and ranked No. 44 nationally.

These rankings were created using information about public schools, crime rates, cost of living and family friendly amenities. Data was pulled from the U.S. Census, FBI, BLS, CDC, and other sources, according to Niche.
