CMFNY to Honor Brad Blumenfeld with Humanitarianism Award

Blumenfeld Development Group Vice President to Receive Distinguished Award

The Children’s Medical Fund of New York (CMFNY) announced today it will honor Brad Blumenfeld as this year’s recipient of the Bernard L. Martin Humanitarianism Award at their 47th Annual Golf & Tennis Outing on June 20, 2022 at the Glen Oaks Golf and Country Club.

The award, which is named after longtime volunteer and supporter Bernard L. Martin, honors the commitment and passion he displayed throughout the many years of his service to the foundation.

The Blumenfeld Family has been intricately involved with CMFNY beginning with the inception when parents Susan and Edward were part of the original founders group. Brad’s brother, David currently serves as Chairman and has held that position for 10 years and also has served as President.

Brad follows in the footsteps of Ed and David, who were recipients of the award in 1970 and 2001 respectively.

“I am truly humbled to be the recipient of this year’s CMF’s Bernard L. Martin award for Humanitarianism, said Brad Blumenfeld, Vice President, Blumenfeld Development Group. CMF has always held a special place in my family’s heart and it is a true honor to join my father and brother as recipients of this very distinguished award. It is easy to see that CMF is very personal to me and there is nothing more inspiring than building upon the legacy that my parents started.”

Funds raised by CMF have benefited Cohen’s Children’s Hospital over the years, most recently supported the building of a state-of-the-art pediatric only operating-room complex, and acquiring a fully robotic pharmacy that dispenses drugs with precision dosing accuracy and speed that is not possible via manual methods and CMF continues to support child life initiatives like the flagship superheroes program.
