Free Drop-In Recreation Programs For Kids At 2 Local Parks

Town of North Hempstead children can enjoy free activities like sports and arts & crafts at two local parks this summer.

NEW HYDE PARK, NY—Children can enjoy free, drop-in summer activities from July 8 until August 15 at two Town of North Hempstead parks, Supervisor Judi Bosworth and the Town Board announced.

The programs are available at Broadway Park in Garden City Park and Charles J. Fuschillo Park in Carle Place, courtesy of the Town's Parks and Recreation Department. No registration is required.

The only requirements are that children are accompanied by a parent and that they remain at the park while their child is participating.

Children are welcome to attend on any day for as many activities as they would like. They'll get to enjoy sports such as volleyball, kickball and basketball, as well as arts and crafts, relay races and more.

  • Broadway Park—Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Charles J. Fuschillo Park—Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
