NEW YORK — If you're looking for a cheap date, it might just be less about who you're asking out and more about where you're going out.

With Valentine's Day shortly approaching, the betting site, EmpireStakes.com just put out a list of the cost of a date night in New York's biggest cities. To come up with their list, the authors said that they used Numbeo data, which collected information on the average cost of a meal, a bottle of wine, the starting price of a cab, and the cost of a three-mile cab trip.

New Rochelle locals know that while this budget-friendly night out is certainly possible, it might require a Groupon and a very, very, very, short cab ride.

The average meal cost with wine is $115 in Yonkers, with a total taxi cost is $13.70, according to EmpireStakes. Meanwhile, the website determined the average meal cost with wine in Mount Vernon is $105, and the total taxi cost is $15.10.
