The North End Tavern In New Rochelle To Be Sold After 8-Year Run

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — The North End Tavern, beloved by regulars, is being sold after nearly 8 years in business.

The restaurant at 1301 North Ave. in New Rochelle, announced on social media Monday that they would be closing their doors for good on June 29.

North End Tavern describes itself as a "cozy sports bar with an amazing menu and a great selection of beers and cocktails."

Customer favorites at the restaurant have included: the French Fries with Truffle Parmesan, the Tavern Classic Burger, Short Rib and Cornbread and the Baja Style Fish Tacos.

An outpouring of support and appreciation from longtime fans of the restaurant appeared on the restaurant's social media page shortly after the announcement.

To all of our Friends, Neighbors, and Loyal Patrons: The rumors are true. After a wonderful 8 years in this location we have made the decision to sell the restaurant to a new ownership group. We would like to thank everyone who supported us these past years especially through the challenges of the pandemic.

For many reasons we have chosen this time to exit with a good feeling and on our own terms. We were very proud to serve New Rochelle and the surrounding communities and value deeply the relationships we have made. We will always hold our time here close to our hearts.

With that being said our last day of service will be Saturday June 29th. We hope to see you one more time!
