NEW ROCHELLE, NY — Nearly 200 eateries that would have participated in Hudson Valley Restaurant Week this past spring will be taking part in a new event Aug. 17-30 — Time to Dine. Restaurants in New Rochelle will be offering the region's residents the chance to help support them as they work to reopen after New York's new coronavirus crisis.

Restaurant Week for spring 2020 was canceled in mid-March as the outbreak began to expand. The state shut down bars and restaurants March 16.

Now with the region in the fourth phase of the state's reopening, restaurants need patronage, said Mike Martinelli of "The Valley Table."
