Trespasser At Student Housing Exposed Himself Near Iona Campus: NRPD

The 25-year-old New Rochelle man has been charged with trespassing and public lewdness stemming from a string of incidents.

NEW ROCHELLE, NY — A New Rochelle man, who police say repeatedly tried to enter a house shared by students, exposed himself and fled when confronted by those living there.

On Wednesday, just before 11 p.m., New Rochelle detectives arrested Lidio Garcia for trespassing and public lewdness stemming from a series of creepy incidents at a home shared by students near the Iona University campus. In two previous incidents, the 25-year-old reportedly attempted to enter the home on Mayflower Avenue shared by college students.

On one of those occasions, the residents confronted him, at which time he exposed his genitalia before fleeing, according to police.

Detectives were able to track their suspect down a short time later. He was placed under arrest at police headquarters.
