“We’ll see the wind howl out of the northwest,” said Bill Potter of Hudson Valley Weather. “Wind gusts over 30 mph should be widespread, so you’ll want to plan accordingly. If you’re driving, you’ll want to use extra caution. If you have loose objects lying around…you will want to secure them during the day on Monday.”

So the forecast for the remainder of Monday calls for highs in the upper 50s with rain ending before mid-afternoon.

Monday night will be windy, and even though the temperatures will only drop to the upper-30s or low-40s, it will feel much colder.

Wind over 20 mph will also see gusts up to 40 mph.

Tuesday will be most sunny, with a high in the low-50s. Again wind and gusts will make it feel colder.

Temps dip back on to the low-30s Tuesday night, with winds becoming light after midnight.

The next chance of showers will be Thursday and Friday.
