Flooding Sparks Road Closure In Riverhead
Heavy flooding has been reported in several areas around Riverhead Town Friday.
RIVERHEAD, NY — As Tropical Storm Elsa packed a punch on Long Island Friday, Riverhead roads were flooded, sparking closures and traffic woes.
The Riverhead Town Police Department reported a road closure due to flooding on Sound Ave. in Wading River; Sound Ave will be closed between Hulse Landing Rd. and Fresh Pond Rd. for several hours, police said.
Heavy flooding was also reported in Aquebogue, officials said.
