Funeral Services Set For Aquebogue Man Killed In Crash

RIVERHEAD, NY — Funeral services have been set for Ryan Dupuis, 26, of Aquebogue, who died in a crash Saturday night.

Services will be held at the McLaughlin Heppner Funeral Home, located at 336 Marcy Avenue in Riverhead.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 3, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be held Friday, March, at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist R.C. Church, located at 546 St. John's Place in Riverhead.

A private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers, his family has asked that contributions be sent to East End Hospice Camp Good Grief, P.O. Box 1048, Westhampton, NY 11978 .

According to Riverhead Town Police, the crash took place Saturday nigt at 11:57 p.m. on Sound Ave. near Northville Turnpike. Responding patrol officers found a single vehicle had left the roadway and struck a tree, police said.

Dupuis was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center by Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps, where he died, police said.

The Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the Riverhead Fire Department were requested to help at the scene; the Riverhead Police Department's detective division was also called, police said.

The involved vehicle was impounded for a safety check, police said.
