Memorializing The Battle of the Bulge on the 78th Anniversary

America's toughest WWII battle, 19,000 Americans died during the massive German counter offensive

The Museum of American Armor in Bethpage held a candle light service beside World War II armor honoring those Americans who fought during the Battle of the Bulge, enduring some 75,000 causalities and 19,000 dead.

The "Bulge" was the largest and bloodiest single battle fought by the United States in World War II and the third-deadliest campaign in American history. It took place December 16, 1944- January 25, 1945

Rabbi Joel Levenson of Midway Jewish Center in Syosset, and a New York National Guard Chaplain offered prayers in memory of those who perished.
