Possible Snow Showers, Cold Temps on Tap This Weekend in Riverhead

It won't feel much like spring this weekend.

It’s a beautiful spring day is a phrase you will not be hearing this weekend.

Temperatures will be unseasonably cold and there will be a chance of rain and snow showers throughout the day on Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

Any snow is not expected to amount to much. The East End could see 1-2 inches of wet snow fall overnight into Saturday night, but the rest of the island will likely see at most a coating of the white stuff, the NWS says.
