Riverhead High School Students Receive High AP Scholar Honors

RIVERHEAD, NEW YORK (NOVEMBER 2023) — Riverhead High School recently honored 25 of its students receiving various AP Scholar honors for their outstanding performances on AP exams. These designations recognize the students’ hard work and commitment to their AP classes and overall education.

“We are extremely proud of our students for their extraordinary academic achievements,” said Riverhead Central School District Interim Superintendent Cheryl Pedisich. “They have done a remarkable job representing our district and community through their success. The district will continue to provide a wide array of AP courses that challenge our students academically while helping to prepare them for the rigors of a college education after graduation.”

Fifteen Riverhead High School students received the designation of AP Scholar, granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP exams. Six students received the designation of AP Scholar with Honor, granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. Four students received the designation of AP Scholar with Distinction, granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
