Power outages from downed trees and power lines are possible, police said in a release.

"Do not plan on driving today, traveling has become dangerous due to the snowfall, strong winds and possible whiteout conditions. Expect secondary roads, especially our north south roads or roads adjacent to open fields to become impassable. If you must travel, have a winter survival kit with you. If you get stranded, stay with your vehicle and call the police," the release said.
