Riverhead Weekend Weather: What to Expect

A perfect spring weekend.

After the winter we had, we’ve earned it and we get it this weekend.

The rest of Friday will see temperatures rise to the mid-50s with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the evening. Things will dry up by Saturday with sunny skies and mild temperatures the story for the weekend.

The full forecast from the National Weather Service:

• Today- A chance of showers before noon. Areas of fog. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 56. Southwest wind 7 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
• Tonight- A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm, then a chance of showers between 9pm and midnight. Patchy fog before midnight. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly clear, with a low around 47. Southwest wind 9 to 11 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
• Saturday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 58. Northwest wind 13 to 15 mph.
• Saturday Night- Mostly clear, with a low around 37. Northwest wind 5 to 11 mph.
• Sunday- Sunny, with a high near 65. Northwest wind 6 to 8 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.
• Sunday Night- Clear, with a low around 43.
• Monday- Mostly sunny, with a high near 64.
