Tanger In Riverhead Welcoming New Shops This Summer

RIVERHEAD, NY — Tanger in Riverhead announced some new shops this week, as well as the expansion of retail space for others.

Tanger Outlets Riverhead will be adding several new brands this summer, including the outdoor lifestyle brands Salt Life and Columbia Sportswear; the activewear retailer OFFLINE by Aerie is slated to open later this summer, a release said.

Salt Life is known for its beach-focused products, ranging from men’s, women’s and children’s apparel to performance gear, sunglasses and other outdoor accessories, the release said.

"One of today’s leading lifestyle brands, Salt Life and its iconic decal represent a passion for all activities on the water. Tanger Riverhead’s proximity to the beach makes Salt Life the perfect addition," the release aid. "Marking the brand’s debut in the Long Island area, Salt Life is now open in a 3,000-square-foot store next to Puma."

Known for its outdoor apparel, footwear and equipment, Columbia Sportswear has opened its second location at Tanger Riverhead. The new clearance store will feature values on apparel, footwear, and accessories and is located in a 7,500-square-foot space near LOFT, the release said.

OFFLINE by Aerie, a sub-brand of activewear and accessories launched in July 2020, "is built for movement, comfort and real life. The brand is the evolution and expansion of Aerie’s popular leggings collection," the release said. "OFFLINE by Aerie offers an unparalleled assortment of soft, cozy and comfortable activewear, including leggings, bike shorts, tops, sports bras, fleece, bottoms and accessories. OFFLINE by Aerie will complement the center’s existing Aerie store with even more activewear styles and offerings. "

The new Tanger Riverhead location is the sub-brand’s first in Long Island and will open in late summer near Old Navy with a 3,500-square-foot storefront, Tanger representatives said.

In addition, Tanger Riverhead recently opened Casper, a leading brand for mattresses, sheets and other sleep products.

The center will also feature relocations of popular stores, Vineyard Vines and Tumi, this summer as they expand to larger spaces. Vineyard Vines is slated to move to a 4,300-square-foot space near Vera Bradley, and Tumi will shift to a 2,100-square-foot store near LOFT, the release said.
