Brookhaven Town Youth Bureau Coat Collection Drive Underway

New or gently-used, clean coats, scarves, hats, and gloves from infant to adult sizes are needed.

FARMINGVILLE, NY — The Town of Brookhaven's Youth Bureau will hold its Annual INTERFACE Coat Drive from Jan. 12 to Feb. 10 to help needy residents stay warm this winter.

Donations of new or gently-used, clean coats, scarves, hats, and gloves from infant to adult sizes can be dropped off at the following locations:

  • Brookhaven Town Hall, One Independence Hill, Farmingville
  • Brookhaven Highway Department, 1140 Old Town Rd., Coram
  • Henrietta Acampora Recreation Center, 39 Montauk Highway, Blue Point
  • New Village Recreation Center, 20 Wireless Rd., Centereach
  • Rose Caracappa Senior Center, 739 Route 25A, Mount Sinai
  • Moriches Bay Recreation Center, 313 Frowein Rd., Center Moriches
  • Brookhaven Town Parks and Recreation Department, 286 Hawkins Rd., Centereach
  • Brookhaven Town Vehicle Control Building, 550 North Ocean Ave., Patchogue
  • Modern Realty and Management LTD, 260Nesconset Highway, Suite 11, Stony Brook
  • Village of Lake Grove Hall and Rec Center, 980 Hawkins Ave., Lake Grove

Supervisor Ed Romaine said that "many residents are going through hard times and may not have proper clothing to keep warm during the winter months."

“I thank our Youth Bureau for organizing the Coat Drive and I encourage residents to make a donation to help their neighbors in need," he said.
