Here are the top three stories in Sachem today:

1. Suffolk officials to relaunch civil service applications today. The online applications have been down since the cyberattack on Sept. 8. Applicants have had to print out an application in PDF form from the county’s contingency website and they have been either mailed or hand-delivered over the last five months. (Sachem Patch)
2. Ronkonkoma's Albert's Pizza has new owners. The pizzeria was known for its Pay it Forward boxes, where customers could purchase a pizza, decorate the box for a specific cause and donate it to a deserving person. 3. Weekend weather report keeps the mild temperatures. Today will be sunny and windy with temperatures in the mid 50s and the rest of the weekend shows for sunny skies as well. High temperatures will drop about 10 degrees for Saturday and Sunday but there is no precipitation in the forecast. (Weather.com)
