  1. Kevin LaValle wins Brookhaven Town Clerk seat. The Republican garnered 6,396 votes or 56 percent, to Democratic opponent Lisa Di Santo's 4,940 votes or 44 percent. Sadly, only 11,336 voters of the 340,329 eligible voters cast a ballot in the election, which equates to 3.3 percent. (Sachem Patch)

  3. Ronkonkoma St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee sets date. The 33rd annual parade will be held on March 26. Grand Marshal John McNamara kicks off the parade leading the line of march and the parade will begin on Hawkins Avenue at School Street and head south down Hawkins Avenue, ending at Thorne Street.
