  1. Tires of 13 vehicles slashed outside hotel in two weeks. The vehicle's tires were slashed outside the Clarion Hotel in Ronkonkoma from Dec. 17 to Jan. 1. Some owners just had one tire slashed and car owners had multiple slashed. Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-221-TIPS. (Sachem Patch)

  3. ICYMI: Amityville woman arrested for reporting false bomb threat at Smith Haven Mall. Tasia Morales, 28, sent a text message to 911 claiming there was a bomb inside the mall at 4:06 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. Fourth Precinct officers to responded to the mall and a few minutes later, she sent another text, telling police that a woman had a gun in the mall, police said. Police searched the mall and found no immediate threat and Morales, an employee of one of the mall stores, was arrested and charged with first-degree falsely reporting an incident. (Patch)
