  1. Seneca Middle School robotics team competes in first Lego League Robotics regional competition. The qualifying event was held at Mineola High School on Jan. 21. The league helps students enhance their critical thinking, coding and design code, and problem solving through hands-on experience and learning. (Press Release Desk)
  2. Fire breaks out at Ronkonkoma home Wednesday morning. Firefighters were called to a home on Fir Grove Rd. around 10:20 a.m. to extinguish the flames. There are no reports of injuries and arson detectives are investigating. (Sachem Patch)
