3 Men Possessed Stolen Credit Cards; 1 Used Them In Centereach: Police

Multiple credit cards were stolen from a purse, and a man used them to buy $1,200 worth of gift cards, police say.

CENTEREACH, NY — Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is seeking the public's help finding the three men who, police said, are wanted for possessing stolen credit cards in Centereach in July.

Multiple credit cards were stolen out of a purse at Aldi, at 139 Alexander Ave., Lake Grove, on July 26, police said. A short time later, a man used the stolen credit cards to purchase gift cards, valued at $1,200, at Target, at 255 Pond Path, Centereach, police said. The men are wanted for grand larceny.

Police ask anyone with information to reach Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and leave an anonymous tip via phone call at 1-800-220-TIPS, using a mobile app which can be downloaded through the App Store or Google Play by searching P3 Tips, or online at www.P3Tips.com. A cash reward is offered for information that leads to an arrest.
