Glenn's Donuts Opens In Selden

SELDEN, NY — Glenn's Donuts opened in Selden on Monday.

Glenn Alessi, who co-founded Glenn Wayne Bakery with his brother-in-law, Wayne Stelz, in 1990, opened his donut shop at 203 Independence Plaza.

Alessi, in an Instagram post, said he's "happy to announce" the new business.

"See you there," he said.

The shop sold out of donuts on Monday in an "overwhelming response," according to the business's Instagram page.

"We couldn't thank everyone enough," the business wrote.

The shop pledged it would hand out a voucher for a free box of donuts to anyone who arrives before the 6 p.m. closing time.

Glenn Wayne Bakery is at 1800 Arctic Ave., Bohemia. The business makes donuts, danishes, turnovers, brownies, muffins, croissants, fritters, and more. The bakery also provides fresh and frozen products to businesses across the United States as part of its wholesale arm, including 7-Eleven locations in New York, according to the bakery's website.
