LIRR Adding Trains to Montauk for Annual St. Patrick's Parade

There will be three extra trains to accommodate guests.

In order to accommodate the guests attending the annual St. Patrick’s Parade in Montauk, one of the most popular parades in the area, the MTA Long Island Rail Road will be running extra trains to the oceanfront village on parade day, Sunday, March 22.

The festivities will start at 10 a.m. with the parade set to kick off down Main Street at 11:30 a.m.

To ensure that all LIRR customers arrive safely in Montauk and return home safely later that day, no beverages of any kind will be allowed aboard Montauk trains, according to a press release from the MTA.
