Winterville, NC — Writing a letter to Santa is a treasured tradition for many North Carolina families. They’re a lens into the magic of the holiday season through the eyes of a child.

We’ve partnered with T-Mobile so we can all share in their joy. This letter, submitted by Colleen Johnson in Winterville, was written by 20 month-old Thomas:

“Dear Santa! I have been a very good boy! I am blessed to have such good parents who make me feel so happy! I actually laugh at my Dad's jokes and love to give my Mom big hugs! My grandparents live in Leland and Wilson. When they come to visit I am so excited to play with play-doh, plastic farm and zoo animals, read books, and throw balls. I went to visit you Santa in Greenville NC! When I saw your face I screamed and cried and thought 'why am I sitting here with this big red giant?' Over time I learned that everyone smiles when I say 'ho-ho-ho' so I am really excited to keep the tradition of Christmas deep in my heart! Santa just between you and me ... I will be giving you two chocolate chip cookies, and a big glass of milk. I will have one cookie and a cup of milk! My parents just read to me about You and Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, and you both need to be well fed as you fly through the sky! After all I am just beginning to learn the JOY of giving! Merry Christmas SANTA!”
