HUNTERSVILLE, NC — Carolina Renaissance Festival is set to bring back medieval frivolity to the Charlotte metro next month, and is seeking to hire 350 seasonal workers for its upcoming 2021 season.

The Carolina Renaissance Festival will run during the weekends of Oct. 2 through Nov. 21, 2021.

Festival organizers are hosting a job fair this weekend for seasonal positions that include concession and ticket sales. Pay for the jobs ranges from $12 - $15 an hour, and also includes free admission tickets that may be shared with friends and family.

"Weekend work at the Festival is a great side hustle!" says Matt Siegel, Director of Marketing and Entertainment. "It is an opportunity to earn extra income with pride as you help make lifelong magical memories for children and adults."

The job fair will be held at the festival grounds located at 16445 Poplar Tent Road in Huntersville on the following days:

  • Friday, Sept. 10 — 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 11 — 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

News of the upcoming annual eight-week event is a welcome one for festival lovers after the 2020 event was canceled due to the pandemic.

The festival, which typically begins in October, is one of the largest outdoor Renaissance-themed festivals in the country, and includes circus acts, games, rides, jousting knights, falconry and more.
