'Resilient' Huntersville Grad & Advocate 'Has An Empathetic Heart'

Huntersville, NC — Graduation is a major milestone and deserves to be celebrated! That's why Patch and T-Mobile have teamed up to recognize our community's outstanding 2024 graduates.

Sean has shown himself to be resilient, strong and capable not only in his schoolwork but as a member of his community.

Sean has struggled with mental health as so many teens do, but he found light in using his voice to stand up for all people. He was a part of peaceful demonstrations and also a spokesperson at the NC legislature as laws were introduced that discriminate against LGBTQ people. In addition to being an advocate, he can be found on Discord servers offering his support to other struggling teens, working on art projects for his high school at the request of his principal or working at his job at Rita’s. He is an amazing swimmer, has an empathetic heart and finds the silver lining in the darkness.

He worked hard last summer working on his architecture portfolio and attended 2 separate college design camps in preparation for his acceptance into UNCC School of Architecture.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about your graduating student nominee?

Sean’s ability to rise and stand for his beliefs amazes me everyday
