  1. On Friday, the Multnomah County Health Department announced a plan to distribute "Snorting Kits" for drug users. As part of a harm reduction plan, the health department hopes by expanding available drug paraphernalia, users will be able to adjust to alternative methods of fentanyl use beyond injection. However, Democratic Portland Mayor, Ted Wheeler, announced his strong opposition to the county's plan. (Fox News)
  2. A shooting in Southeast Portland on Sunday left one man dead. On the 1500 block of SE 17th Avenue, police responded to a shooting, but when they arrived the shooter ran off and the victim was already dead at the scene. Detectives ask anyone with information to contact the police immediately so they can track down the shooter. (KOIN)
  3. A man was stabbed to death while defending another person outside of a Portland bar. According to reports, the 24-year-old man suspect was arrested by U.S. Marshals and was booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center for murder in the second degree and unlawful use of a weapon. The suspect had targeted an LGBTQ+ person in the victim's friend group, and when he defended them, he was then stabbed numerous times. (Law And Crime)
