ABINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Jefferson Abington Hospital has opened The Market.

The hospital this week held the grand opening of The Market, which combines the convenience of a corner store with the style of a modern market.

It's the new "grab and go" option for nourishment for employees, patients, and visitors.

Hospital officials said The Market was made possible thanks to a $100,000 donation by the Abington Health Foundation Women’s Board and Auxiliaries.

Attending the grand opening were hospital administration and representatives, the Women’s Board, and Aramark, which will manage the store.

Eventually, employees will have 24//7 badge access so all shifts can be accommodated at The Market.
