NJ Snake Man Returning To Bucks County Libraries: What To Know

BUCKS COUNTY, PA — Steve Lengen, the New Jersey Snake Man, will be appearing with some of his slithery friends at Bucks County Free Library’s Bensalem and Levittown branches on July 28.

The event will give local children the chance to get up close and interact with various snakes, with the New Jersey Snake Man allowing attendees to touch the snakes and take pictures with them. The Bucks County events are perfect for children between the ages of 5 and 10.

The first event of the day will be at the Bucks County Free Library's Bensalem branch, located at 3700 Hulmeville Road, at 1 p.m. The second event will be held at the Levittown branch, located at 7311 New Falls Road, at 3:30 p.m. Registration is not required for either event.

"Join us to see and learn about some amazing s-s-s-s-snakes!" the Bucks County Free Library said on their official website. "NJ Snakeman will present 8-10 different snakes at this fun-filled family event; you might even get to take a picture with one of the big guys!"

Steve Lengen began keeping snakes at the age of 4. He now has a collection of close to 75 snakes. Before launching his own educational programs in 2008, he provided volunteer programs for New Jersey’s Division of Fish and Wildlife.
