Bucks Dining Destinations Teaming Up To Benefit Cancer Patients

Bucks County's most popular dining and drinking destinations are again teaming up to raise funds for the nonprofit Kin Wellness Center in Buckingham. From now through Sept. 15, designated restaurants and bars will be taking part in the second annual "Bucks County Eat, Drink and Be Merry" month by donating a portion of their proceeds to the Bucks County cancer community. TV docudrama shoots scenes at Doylestown restaurant

A Doylestown Borough restaurant and bar will be featured in a new true crime docudrama airing nationally this summer on Fox Nation. A film crew took over Chambers 19 Bistro and Bar in the heart of Doylestown Borough in late July to shoot scenes for a four-part series that tells the untold story of George Marquardt, “The Godfather of Fentanyl.” Chambers owner John Wolff said it was exciting to watch the crews turn the bistro into a Boston Pub where a key moment in the investigation unfolds. It was also exciting to see about 25 locals appearing as extras in the scenes, including some of his own employees, he said. Click here to read the article on Patch

Backyard Honey Business Buzzing With Success In Jamison

Thanks in part to the help and advice of SCORE Bucks County, a Jamison-based backyard honey business is buzzing with success and is now expanding into new product lines, including beeswax luminaries and their top-selling honey lollipops and chocolate-covered creamed honey confections. Recognizing the need to produce more honey and expand online sales, the business owners began collaborating with a SCORE Bucks County mentor in 2021. Their mentor guided the entrepreneurs in realizing that their honey is an “indulgence” and a “luxury product” and assisted them in pricing their items accordingly. Their mentor is also helping Backyard Buzz boost its online sales. Click here to read the story on Patch
