Man Stole Thousands Of Dollars Worth Of Sunglasses: Warrington Police

Police said the man selected high priced sunglasses, concealed them in a bag and exited the store without paying.

WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — A Bronx, New York man faces felony retail theft charges after stealing thousands of dollars worth of sunglasses from a township business.

On June 1, Warrington Police responded to Sunglass Hut at 1548 South Main Street for a report of a retail theft that had just occurred.

Staff told police that a man, later identified as Jonaycker DeGouveria-Suearez from Bronx, N.Y., and a woman entered the store and proceeded to the expensive sunglass area.

Police said DeGouveria-Suearez selected $4,487 worth of sunglasses, concealed them in a bag and exited the store without paying.

A warrant was issued for DeGouveria-Suearez’s arrest.

DeGouveria-Suearez was subsequently arrested in Bergen County, New Jersey, and transferred back to Warrington on July 30 where he was charged with retail theft and receiving stolen property He was arraigned by Judge Wertman who set bail at $150,000 or 10 percent cash.

DeGouveria-Suearez, who had several outstanding warrants from other jurisdictions, was unable to post bail. He was transported to the Bucks County Correctional Facility to await court action.
