Sign Of Things To Come At The Barn Plaza In Doylestown

DOYLESTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — The anticipation continues to grow with each passing day as work progresses on the new Whole Foods Market at the Barn Plaza on Route 611.

While there still is no official opening date for the new grocery store, it's getting closer as evidenced by the brand new Whole Foods Market signage now adorning the center.

It was about this time in 2022 that the Brixmor Property Group, which manages the shopping center anchored by Kohl’s Department Store, made the huge announcement on its Facebook page that Whole Foods would be coming to the shopping center.

For years, Whole Foods loyalists have lobbied for a store in Bucks County, even launching petition drives over the years to bring one here.

The Texas-based grocery store chain specializing in natural and organic foods will be moving into brand new digs built at the former site of the Marshall’s/HomeGoods store, which relocated to Cross Keys Place in Plumstead Township.

The Barn Center, located on Route 611 at Almshouse Road, is also home to Piccolo Trattoria, Honeygrow, Douglas Jewelers, Gerhard’s Appliances, Mattress Firm, and will soon be home to Barnes & Noble, which is scheduled to open on Wednesday, Sept. 4 next to the new Whole Foods Market.

The nearest Whole Foods Markets are located in Spring House, Plymouth Meeting and Abington, all in Montgomery County, and in Princeton, New Jersey.
