Longtime Hatfield Man, Loving Husband, Father, Dies At 84

HATFIELD, PA — Robert Blackledge, Jr., 84, of Hatfield, PA passed away on June 6, 2018 at Abington-Lansdale Hospital in Lansdale, PA. He was the beloved husband of the late Marian (nee Morgan) Blackledge, who preceded him in death in 2010. Born November 4, 1933 in Lansdale, PA he was the son of the late Naomi (nee Gerhart) Blackledge and the late Robert Blackledge, Sr.

He had been employed for many years as a Glass Blower in the Manufacturing Industry prior to his retirement, and he will always be remembered as a loving and devoted husband and father.

Robert is survived by his sons, Kenneth Blackledge, of Hatfield, and James Blackledge, of Quakertown, and his siblings, Harriet Goodwin and Richard Blackledge.

Funeral Services will be held privately by his family.

In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, memorial contributions in Robert's name may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America, 706 Haddonfield Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08002, and would be deeply appreciated by his family.
