Delco Dog To Appear In 2024 Puppy Bowl

Sasha from the Providence Animal Shelter will "compete" in this year's Puppy Bowl on Animal Planet alongside pups from across the nation.

MEDIA, PA — A Delaware County puppy will hit the national stage next month, as she will be one of the dozens of dogs to "compete" in the annual Puppy Bowl.

The 2024 Puppy Bowl will feature more than 130 puppies from 73 shelters across 36 states and territories.

These pups will be divided into two teams: Team Ruff and Team Fluff.

The Providence Animal Shelter in Media will be represented by Sasha.

Sasha is a Siberian Husky-Perro de Presa Canario mix.

She will be on Team Fluff.

Pennsylvania will also be represented by Dominic and Vanessa from the Brandywine Valley SPCA in West Chester; Bertie and Salla Ed from Phoenix Animal Rescues in Chester Springs; and Gerties and Good Girl from Paws Across Pittsburgh Animal Rescue in Pittsburgh.

Tune in to Animal Planet at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 11 to see Sasha and all the other puppies compete for the "Lombarky" trophy.
