School Supply Donation Drive Underway In Delaware County

The Delaware County Department of Health is hosting its first ever Back to School Fair on Aug. 10 and needs school supply donations.

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Residents in and around Delaware County are invited to support the Delaware County Health Department's new "DCHD Delivers" effort.

This donation drive will support the department's first Back to School Fair.

To ensure local students receive as much support as possible, officials are encouraging residents and community members to participate in this drive alongside DCHD and other Delaware County employees.

Sought items are new school supplies, stationery, and hygiene items.

Donations can be dropped off at any of the eight drop-off locations in Delaware County listed below through Aug. 7.

"Education is a social determinant of health, by providing essential school supplies to students we are preparing them not only for academic success but healthier lives," Delaware County Health Department Director Melissa Lyon said. "Our back-to-school donation drive seeks to ensure every student has the tools they need to reach their full potential in the classroom and life."
