Delco Eatery Offering 'Galentine's Day' Deal, Valentine's Dishes

GLEN MILLS, PA — A Delaware County restaurant is offering diners a sweet deal and a special selection of dished in celebration of Valentine's Day weekend.

Dave Magrogan’s Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar in Glen Mills will be celebrating "Galentine's Day" on Thursday, Feb. 13, offering complimentary desserts and gift bags to all groups who celebrate the holiday at any one of the restaurant's nine locations.

Additionally, Harvest will be featuring a number of special menu additions to run through Valentine's Day Weekend.

Galentine's Day, which started as a fictional holiday thanks to a 2010 episode of "Parks and Recreation," has blossomed into an annual event for those celebrating Valentine's Day one day early, together as a group. As stated by the show's lead, Leslie Knope, "Oh, it's only the best day of the year. Every February 13th, my lady friends and I leave our husbands and our boyfriends at home, and we just come and kick it, breakfast-style. Ladies celebrating ladies. It's like Lilith Fair, minus the angst. Plus frittatas."

There will be no frittatas, or "breakfast style" kicking it, but the rest remains the same.

Harvest will be celebrating in their own way, offering a complimentary chocolate-covered strawberry dessert to all groups who dine together on the Feb. 13. Additionally, guests who dine together will receive a Harvest tote bagged filled with various goodies.

For Valentine's Day, Harvest will feature eight special menu additions which will run from Feb. 14 to Feb. 17.

Menu additions include two appetizers — Lobster Bisque; and Citrus and Pear Salad; four entrees — Dry-Aged Strip Steak Oscar; Lobster Ravioli; Pan-Seared Halibut; and Plant-Based Red Beet Gnocchi; and two desserts — Chocolate Pot de Crème; and Chocolate-Covered Strawberry.

The full dinner menu will also be available throughout the weekend.

Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar is located at 549 Wilmington Pike in Glen Mills.
