NEWTOWN BOROUGH, PA — Screening classic Christmas movies is a tradition that dates back decades at the historic Newtown Theatre.

This year’s lineup includes something for everyone, including all-time classics such as “It’s a Wonderful Life” and “White Christmas” and family favorites like “Home Alone” and “The Muppet Christmas Carol.”

“You can watch many of these movies at home, of course, but nothing gets you in the holiday spirit like sharing the experience with a theater full of people who are laughing, smiling, clapping, singing and sometimes crying along with you,” says Andrew Smith, executive director of the Newtown Theatre. “People come out of the theater smiling every year.”
